maryIn our tax senior role, you will communicate with our clients and get an understanding of their businesses and how we can help them be successful. This will include performing various aspects of tax compliance, projections, preparing responses to tax notices, assistance with special projects, and communicating with clients and building relationsh
ips.
Essential Func
tions Adhere to professional ethics of the firm, AICPA and Georgia Society of
CPA’s Adhere to firm policy regarding client confidentia
lity. Demonstration of professional interest in providing clients with quality services and personal attention by performing “above and beyond the call of duty” if neces
sary. Assists in handling routine audits, questions, and notices from federal or state agen
cies. Frequent client contact, especially with respect to updating clients on progress of outstanding items and answering basic quest
ions. Requests appropriate information from clients and/or supervisors to prepare tax returns and other fil
ings. Meet chargeable hour goal of 1,700 annu
ally. Meet interim billable hour goals (i.e. – 750 hours during busy season, monthly budgets, e
tc.). Pass CPA exam and CPA eligible (have completed 150 semester hours of educat
ion). Act as a mentor and role model for tax s
taff. Identifies apparent tax issues; able to discuss them effectively with others; works with partners, other client service team members and appropriate firm experts to manage timely resolu
tion. Prepare/supervise preparation of tax accrual workpa
pers. Prepares more complex tax returns for review and thoroughly addresses all review points after revi
ewed. Reviews tax law developments and determines which developments apply to cli
ents. Assists with the presentation and delivery of in-house trai
ning.

ements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or other relevant degree p
rogram CPA license strongly pre
ferred Two to five years of public accounting experience, pre
ferred C-Corp and S-Corp experience strongly pre
ferred Merger & Acquistion experience pre
ferred Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
(GAAP) Proficient in Microsoft Office applic
ations Ability to multi-task with excellent written and verbal communication
skills Must be able to meet assigned deadlines in a fast-paced, team envir
