Fabricator Helper

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Fabricator Helper to join our team and assist our lead fabricator in a variety of tasks throughout the shop. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to grow in the fabrication field while learning and developing hands-on skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead fabricator with cutting, grinding, welding, and torching operations.
• Operate various machinery and hand tools, including cutting equipment and machine shop tools, as needed.
• Climb ladders and operate man lifts to perform overhead tasks and handle materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area while adhering to safety protocols and company guidelines.
• Prepare materials, parts, and tools for fabrication processes.
• Support the assembly of fabricated parts and products.
• Perform basic welding and fabrication tasks under the supervision of senior fabricators.
• Take direction from senior fabricators and work collaboratively to complete projects.
• Perform general labor duties such as organizing and moving materials as required.
• Assist with shipping and receiving operations, including unloading and preparing materials.
• Adhere to all safety standards, use appropriate protective equipment, and follow OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications:   Minimum of OSHA 10-hour certification required.

• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Previous experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior fabricators.
• Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of safety protocols.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of welding, cutting, grinding, and using shop tools is a plus.
