Purpose: This position will work directly with the Corporate Safety Manager, Operations, and Administrative departments.

with operations personnel as well as routine inspections of the facility operations and other assigned facilities.

exposure to hazardous chemicals possible; extended periods of standing; climbing; ability to use handheld radio/phone.

Essential Functions:
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and Safety management systems developed by SIS.
- Assist in managing worker's compensation, loss prevention, and general liability insurance issues as directed by the
- Create and track safety-related objectives, metrics, and goals for the organization.
- Investigate incidents or near-misses and lead root cause analysis.
- Identify opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
- Conduct employee training on applicable safety standards.
- Review safety training and recommend revisions, improvements, and updates.
- Conduct routine workplace safety inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Observe workers to ensure compliance with on the job safety procedures.
- Perform safety audits per company policy and compliance requirements to keep the safety program on track and
- Collaborate with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
- Maintain and update the written procedures contained in Safety Management System as needed and conduct or

- Report potential issues or concerns to the Safety Manager via proper channels and policies.
