What are the responsibilities and job description for the Excavation / Seeding Foreman position at Smith Lawnscapes, LLC?
Our Excavation Foreman is responsible for operating a variety of equipment which may include mini excavator, skid steer, dump truck, compact utility tractor. Operator will use equipment to perform a variety of tasks which may include physical labor; hydro seeding; fine grading and finishing; landscaping; sloping and banking; backfilling; ditching; excavating; rough grading; sub-grade excavating; trenching; material handling; slope grooming and snow removal.
Qualifications:
- Sufficient landscaping industry experience
- Excavation, drainage, grading, turf and some Landscaping knowledge
- Basic measurement and calculation skills
- Ability to follow safe working procedures
- Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork orientation
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- The ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must have a valid driver's license (Class A, B or Chauffeurs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to operate hand tools and equipment
- Work directly in communication with the Project Manager
- Maintain good relationships with employees and customers
- Keep jobs running smoothly and on time
- Clean, lubricate and maintain equipment
- Assist in general labor duties as needed
- Develop schedules to ensure timely project completion
- Complete daily paperwork
- Ensure customer satisfaction
Work Conditions:
Fast paced environment, outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold. Some weekend work may be required.
