GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for preparing timely and accurate engineering orders to specifications and to satisfy the customer needs. You will be required to read and interpret engineering drawings, process and communicate needed changes with the customer, with engineering consultants, and internal engineers. You will identify any potential issues and work to resolve them both for production and the customer.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Process all aspects of a job, from order entry, MRP entry, OE&I’s and all other required paperwork to process the job.
- Maintain a friendly attitude toward both internal and external customers.
- Build collaborative and trusting relationships with customers, sales reps, manufacturing reps, and engineers.
- Provide quick and timely order processing, and keep communication moving between customer and S&L.
- Provide Technical Engineering Support in determining equipment required, specifications, and other documents to support the Sales Team, Representatives and Customers.
- Work closely with Customer, Representative, Engineering and CM&O groups on larger treatment projects as the job is processed in Engineering and Manufacturing so it meets required customer deadlines.
- Ensure the Company receives a maximum price for its products by reviewing contractual and technical documents with reps and internal departments on a timely basis.
- Responsible for being well informed on the full line of Company products.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Keep work area neat and clean.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Possess an Engineering or Construction Management bachelor’s degree OR demonstrated >10 years of technical work in relevant industry. Mechanical Engineering degree is strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE: None required.
SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to calculate hydraulic conditions. Ability to research 20 year old equipment and assign to current bills of material for order processing. Ability to read job specifications and develop engineering specification to build equipment on the order. Possess excellent phone, communication and customer service skills. Excellent attention to detail and accountability. Ability to multi-task, take initiative, work quickly and accurately. Strong MS Office application skills. Strong organizing skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Normal office environment; ability to walk around making observations on equipment in the shop and in the field.
EQUIPMENT: PC, phone, fax, copier, and other normal office equipment as needed.
