- Outdoor duties: Greeting visitors, supervising the slide, managing the book giveaway (summer).
- Indoor duties: Tidying playrooms, reorganizing play spaces, disinfecting toys, enforcing safety guidelines.
- Special events: Assisting with annual events at Smith, as needed.

Visitor Engagement:
- Greet and welcome visitors warmly.
- Answer visitor questions and provide information.
- Guide visitors on safety guidelines, especially in "Smithville."
Play & Learning:
- Lead visitors in unstructured play and nature-based activities.
- Facilitate child-directed play with loose parts and developmentally appropriate activities.
- Apply playful learning strategies (after training).
Operations & Maintenance:
- Ensure toy organization and tidiness in indoor play spaces.
- Re-stock and organize natural materials and loose parts.Services
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform light maintenance tasks.
- Conduct trash walks.
Visitor Services:
- Assist with birthday parties and group visits.
- Sell items at the Smith Store.
- Maintain accurate daily visitor attendance.
Knowledge & Communication:
- Become knowledgeable about Smith's history, culture, and mission.
- Communicate effectively with visitors, donors, volunteers, and staff.
- Communicate the importance of play to the public.
Other:
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various seasons.
