The Administrative Assistant will provide project and administrative support to the President / Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and multiple Senior Level staff members. This individual is detail oriented, motivated, diligent, organized and business savvy with analytical skills, clear and concise communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in business writing and content creation that is essential to the success of this role.
The successful Administrative Assistant will ensure that the CEO is organized, informed, and prepared for anything that comes their way. This individual will provide confidential administrative support and will act as the gatekeeper to executive leadership. Flexibility and adaptability are key for the Administrative Assistant in Smith-Midland’s constantly changing environment.
Day to Day Duties / Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted gatekeeper to the CEO, act as his right hand
- Act as a liaison to the leadership team and the rest of the team
- Take initiative and anticipate your Executives’ needs
- Manage a busy calendar including business and personal appointments.
- Coordinating international and domestic travel arrangements
- Handle all expense reports
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred but not required.
- At least two years of related experience required
- Knowledge of efficient office processes, procedures, and record keeping practices
- Knowledge and experience with Board Governance preferred
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting/standing at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
