What are the responsibilities and job description for the Store Manager position at Smith Pool Service?
For the past 40 years, Smith Pools and Spas has helped thousands of Mid Southerners turn their backyards into places for family leisure and entertainment. Smith Pools and Spas continues this tradition today by building a company of loyal and professional employees who will make pool, spa, or hot tub fun for the entire family. We are currently hiring for a Store Manager for our established Memphis, TN location. This location handles in store retail, above ground pool sales, and warehouse management.
- Must be Self Motivated
- Be willing to learn
- Be hardworking and reliable with a positive attitude, no task too big or too small
- Must be able to work alone at times
- Able to communicate effectively with customers
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to lift up to 100Lb
- Basic math skills are necessary
- Must be able to work weekends and long hours during the Summer months as needed
- Ability to multi-task, and take full ownership of assigned projects
- Willingness to learn basic skills in plumbing, water chemistry, pool pumps, filter systems, pool lights, and pool heaters
- Extremely organized, detailed, and RELIABLE
- Creative problem solver & self-starter on daily projects
- Must have basic computer skills including typing, excel, office documents, and navigating the internet
- Ability to manage a small staff
- Valid Driver’s License
- Reliable transportation
