Tax Internship Opportunities for 2026 Tax Season
We are seeking students who want to learn and develop their tax and accounting skills. Our internship program provides hands-on experience in tax and audit processes, compliance and regulations, and allows you to work on various projects with experienced individuals. Primary Responsibilities:
- Tax Return Preparation: Prepare and assist with simple to complex tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Tax Research: Perform research as needed.
- Compliance and Procedures: Perform all work in accordance with firm policies and procedures.
- Client Review: Review client information, interviewers, and previous tax returns.
- Tax Return Work Papers: Accurately prepare business return work papers.
- Tax Returns and Forms: Prepare and check tax returns, forms, and schedules.
- Departmental Support: Assist other staff members in other departments.
Requirements:
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Arts or Science in Accounting program at an accredited university.
- Accounting Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting concepts involved in tax return preparation.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in Excel.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Time Management: Ability to meet deadlines and handle pressure in a professional manner.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting and Mobility: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds, stand or sit for extended periods, and type/enter data regularly.
