What are the responsibilities and job description for the Appliance Delivery and Installation Driver position at Smith Trucking & Logistics, LLC?
We are looking for individuals who are able to travel to Denver, CO and surrounding areas who have experience in delivering/installing household appliances. We also need individuals who possess the ability to operate a 26ft box truck with at least 2 years of experience. This is a 1099 Independent Contractor position. Starting pay from $990 per week to $1200 per week.
Appliances installed can vary from Refrigerators, Freezers, Ranges, Washer and Dryers. Occasionally some exercise equipment and grill assembly. We DO install Dishwashers or OTR Microwaves.
SCHEDULE: 5-6 Day Operation depending on volume and performance.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have personal set of tools
- Drivers are required to pass a drug screen, background check & have a good driving record
- Must have a valid DOT Physical
- Drivers must be 21 years old
Responsibilities
- Follow routes and time schedule
- Load and unload appliances as well as haul aways
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
- Use basic tools to complete the installation of the appliances
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Delivery Driver
- Proven work experience as an Appliance Installer
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good driving record with little or no traffic violations
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
