Summary: Draftsperson will work in 2D or 3D modeling software to create prints and assemblies for the manufacturing floor with support from engineering manager or lead designer. This person must be organized, detail orientated and able to track multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Creating parts and assemblies in AutoCAD and/or Solidworks
- Tracking and reporting on multiple projects with overlapping timelines
- Creating a digital print package from engineering files and DXF files for programming
- Implementing change orders from as directed by engineering manager
- Support research and development activities related to trailer design and manufacturing improvement projects
- Maintaining databases to record part and trailer information
- Assist with the completion of redlined/sketched drawings from manager or lead designer
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree (AA) or Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) preferred, or HS diploma/GED with two years related experience
- Computer skills required: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), Adobe
- Proficient (or able to learn) in AutoCAD, Solidworks, or other CAD software
- A working knowledge of Solidworks is highly preferred
- Prior work in engineering or manufacturing support a plus
- Good communication and team work skills required
Position Type & Hours:
- This is a full-time position.
- Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. & Fridays 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Local travel may be required at times.
