SUMMARY: Performs laboratory tests to determine physical characteristics of materials for such purposes as quality control, process control or product development by performing essential duties and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Performs testing in accordance with relevant procedure(s) and/or specification(s).
• Follows and completes daily work assignments in conjunction with testing schedule.
• Has detailed understanding of test methods and specifications.
• Has ability to perform basic calculations from tests.
• Has ability to conduct assigned tests and procedures within lab.
• Consistently follows all quality and safety procedures within lab.
• Maintains an orderly appearance of work area/space.
• Assists with sample preparation.
• Assists with general laboratory organization and clean up.
• Organizes and maintains chemical(s) and raw material(s) inventory.
• Consistently upholds on-time delivery of assignments/projects.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Currently attending a university, college or trade school
