Smithers is seeking an experienced Laboratory Manager to lead our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited cannabis testing laboratory. The successful candidate will have a strong background in analytical testing and quality assurance, with a proven track record of compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day supervision over technical laboratory operations
- Oversee sample management, including receipt, preparation, analysis, data review, and reporting
- Manage laboratory inventory, maintain cost-effective supply levels, and ensure equipment is calibrated and maintained
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field (chemistry, environmental science, physical science, or biology)
- Minimum 4 years of experience in analytical testing and quality assurance, preferably in a regulated industry
- Proven experience with ISO 17025 quality management systems and regulatory submissions
