What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Technician position at Smithers?
SUMMARY: Provides assistance to all departments by providing logistical support as required. This includes but is not limited to shipping/receiving, disposition, staging and sample mounting. This position will work under the direction of the Logistics Coordinator. This position may perform duties of a sensitive and confidential nature.

- Follows all safety rules and company policies.
- Receives deliveries and logs/enters samples into the inventory system.
- Locates and retrieves test specimens and associated hardware.
- Handles disposition of test specimens and hardware after testing.
- Updates inventory system with disposition of samples/specimens.
- Performs general housekeeping tasks.
- Prepares items for shipping as required.
- Responsible for setting up shipping of materials into and out of facility
