1:1 Special Needs Paraprofessional

Blackstone Academy Charter School in Pawtucket, RI is a dynamic educational setting which strives to meet the needs of all of its learners while creating an exciting, collegial atmosphere where teachers and staff can grow as leaders. Our public charter high school serves 350 students from three cities, Central Falls, Pawtucket, and Providence, RI who are admitted through a blind lottery. For the second semester of the 2024-25 academic year, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced paraprofessional to work 1 : 1 with a special needs student. The paraprofessional will collaborate with the Special Ed department and other relevant staff to support and supervise this student's progression through our curriculum and growth on their goals. Our school is incredibly diverse, and students are challenged to excel in our rigorous and supportive environment. Candidates should be seeking a position in a collaborative, innovative educational environment focused on preparation for the future and community improvement. They should be comfortable supporting students in classes, working closely with colleagues, and should have a strong understanding of secondary standards.
