Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Non-Union District Position Salary- $98,00-$102,000 JOB DESCRIPTION QUALIFICATIONS : (1) Certification to qualify as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) OR Certification to qualify as a Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) and a Master's / Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited educational institution. (2) Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screening. (3) A minimum of three (3) years teaching experience preferred. (4) Experience in effectively supporting the social-emotional learning and behavioral needs of children. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES : Familiarity with social-emotional learning, tiered behavioral programming and intervention services. Knowledge of current research, trends and best practices related to assignment. Knowledge of applicable laws. Ability to implement evidence-based practices. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to work effectively within the school setting with students, staff and families. Computer skills are required for the position. REPORTS TO : Director of Student Support Personnel JOB GOAL To collaborate with educators to assess and develop behavioral interventions for students with all disabilities in schools. To coordinate support in the development and delivery of services to address the social, emotional and behavioral learning and needs of students. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES : Service Delivery
- 1) Collaborate in the development and implementation of functional behavior assessments and behavior intervention plans for individual students. This may include observations, home visits and data collection.
- 2) Assist school staff with the development of behavioral goals for Individual Education Plans (IEP's).
- 3) Identify supports and provide training to ensure classroom implementation of interventions.
- 4) Assist in implementing modifications and adaptations of the environment, as needed.
- 5) Lead or co-support crisis management for school-based incidents, including but not limited to death, injury, restraint, and suicide risk. Complete necessary documentation.
- 6) Provide consultation and modeling to school team members to allow for appropriate service delivery.
- 7) Design and model recommended instructional and / or behavioral intervention strategies as needed.
- 8) Provide and / or arrange for on-going staff development opportunities to facilitate skill acquisition by general and special education certified and classified staff regarding service delivery and positive behavior supports students with behavioral challenges.
- 9) Coordinate and facilitate conduct intervention planning team meetings as necessary that culminate in the development of intervention plans involving instruction of expected behaviors.
- 10) Share behavioral data and collaborate with school and district staff for continuous improvement of the school climate and culture.
- 11) Demonstrate exceptional accountability techniques including documentation and student tracking.
- 12) Maintain mandatory certification in district approved crisis prevention intervention programs (CPI / PCM or other approved program).
- 13) Participate successfully in training programs offered to enhance the individual's skills and proficiency related to the job responsibilities.
- 14) Review current developments, literature and technical sources of information related to job responsibilities.
- 15) Ensure adherence to good safety procedures and maintain ethical standards.
- 16) Follow federal and state laws, as well as School Committee policies, rules and regulations.
- 17) Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Essential Performance Responsibilities PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Medium Work : Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and / or up to 10 pounds of force as needed to move objects.
