The Phoenix office of SmithGroup is looking for a Plumbing Engineer to join our team.
Working with us, you will :
- Lead design and documentation of plumbing systems including floor plans, riser diagrams, equipment selection, scheduling, and specifications.
- Prepare facility condition assessments and write technical reports.
- Develop solutions to challenging plumbing issues with integrated architecture and engineering project design teams.
- Employ sustainable design principles and document sustainable design performance.
- Participate, where requested, in client meetings.
- Coordinate your work with all disciplines and consultants.
- Review submittals, RFIs, and contractor proposed change orders, and conduct site observations.
- Provide plumbing design and leadership for projects across multiple offices.
- Provide oversight and monitoring of the work performed by junior staff.
- Mentor and train junior-level engineers.
- Assist mechanical engineers on engineering tasks for a project, assuring that technical, schedule and hours-expended targets are met in accordance with client expectations and applicable professional standards.
