Job Description
The Sales Support Technician is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing customer orders. The incumbent’s role is focused on providing comprehensive support for the sales team and liaising with supply chain, product specialist, finance, and operations to manage customer orders from entry to fulfillment. Must display the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to drive customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Essential functions -Job duties to include but are not limited to:
- Timely and efficient entry of customer orders into SAP, ensuring correct product specifications, pricing, quantities, and delivery instructions.
- Work closely with the Sales Manager to confirm the accuracy of the PO/contract, delivery questionnaire, part numbers, and configuration
- Manage new customer set-up and credit applications with finance and data governance
- Process and manage quotes
- Verify inventory availability and confirm plant allocation
- Provide status updates to the sales manager and the customer regarding potential delays, discrepancies, and issues.
- Consult with the Trade Compliance Office for basic requirements of licenses, compliance, and incoterms
- Inform the Sales Manager and customer of manufacturing and delivery dates
- Communicate with product specialists and production teams on new product launches and part number updates
- Respond to customer inquiries and complaints
- Maintain customer documentation and ensure sales order changes are consistently updated
- Generate and analyze open order and status reports
- Participate in training programs and webinars to stay updated on product knowledge
- Other Sales duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma and 3 years of related experience required. Associates or equivalent training preferred. Equivalence achieved through comparative work and life experience is acceptable.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in order entry, sales support, and/or customer service, preferably within a manufacturing or technical industry.
Knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP tool, Service Max or Salesforce is preferred.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must; the ability to write and compose formal documents will be a daily process to communicate with various entities.
- Ability to understand technical information and translate it effectively for customers.
- Strong ability to assess customer needs, troubleshoot issues, and work proactively across various cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate entry.
- High level of accuracy in entering quotes, creating orders, and managing customer information.
- Expert-level skills with Microsoft Office products and SAP
- Expert-level ability to manage multiple priorities at one time
- Ability to communicate professionally with team members at all levels of the organization
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and plan workload effectively
- Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and perform under deadlines
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Comply with all applicable US export control and security regulations.
Background: This position may require Sensitive Security Information (SSI) access and vetting via the TSA. If required, applicant must successfully pass a federal background investigation. This position may require a U.S. Personal Security Clearance.

The compensation for this position ranges from $45,879.00 - $107,049.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills, job-related knowledge, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions.
