Job Description
Manage and coordinate staff and operations of inside sales, warehouse, inventory, seal repair, assembly, and procurement to achieve timely production of quality products at the most economical cost and proper quantities. Develop and coordinate a work force capable of meeting the operating procedures to facilitate the physical distribution of product.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Develops and monitors operating procedures in order processing, inventory control, customer service, seal repair, assembly, etc. and personnel training.
- Handles incoming telephone, fax, mail orders and inquires on a variety of subject matters such as pricing information and quotations, part identification, application recommendations, delivery dates, change orders and seal repair service.
- Interprets and implements company policies.
- Manage inventory management system to optimize customer order requirements while maintaining capacity utilization and the lowest level of inventory.
- Approves ordering parts from vendors. Authorizes substitute part numbers.
- Achieve monthly forecasts, backlog management, and on-time delivery.
- Manage annual operating budgets. Oversees the maintenance of building, equipment, grounds, etc.
- Provide assurance that safety, health and environmental rules and regulations are met or exceeded.
- Manage, lead and motivate service center personnel into and effective organization.
- Analyzes operations problems or deficiencies and initiates corrective action.
- Visits with customers to better understand their requirements.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Undergraduate degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 2 years of related experience in inventory and material management and distribution practices.
- Must have solid proven supervisory experience to include supervising a diverse work force
- Requires APICS certification or course study.
- Knowledge of integrated business and manufacturing systems operations involving MRP.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with all levels
EHS REQUIREMENTS:
- Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the Company’s goals.
- Lifting guidelines in accordance with the Manual Lifting Guidelines noted in the Safety Handbook.
- Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals.
- Complete, and actively participate in all other EHS training requirements
Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 ann
