Qualifications
Experience: You qualify for this position if you have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-9 level in the Federal Service or comparable pay band system. For this position specialized experience is defined as interpreting plans and specifications during construction; conducting on-site inspections of projects to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and other requirements of contracts; or supervisor of crafts/trades persons engaged in construction work of facilities and provided the experience involved responsibility for interpreting plans and specifications and inspecting workmanship for adherence to such plans and specifications.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Part-time and/or unpaid experience related to this position will be considered to determine the total number of years and months of experience. Be sure to note the number of paid or unpaid hours worked each week.
Or Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., related to the position.

The Construction Control Representative provides expertise in facility maintenance, contracting techniques to best support building systems and execution of maintenance projects.
In This Position, You Will
- Serve as contracting office’s technical representative for OFMR maintenance contracts. Provide technical assistance and advice to OFMR staff members and/or contractors to assure contractors are in full compliance with contractual requirements.
- Use automated technical software to compile information necessary to report and formulate data, presentations or documentation for maintenance assignments.
- Oversee management and integration of contractor operations, work closely with SI personnel, professional engineers and maintenance operators engaged in maintenance activities and projects.
- Communicate with personnel at a variety of levels to convey progress, problems and recommendations in a timely manner.
