What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Sports Instructor position at Smithtown Recreation?
The Smithtown Recreation Department has limited availability for summer sports camp counselors; Basketball, Boys Lacrosse, Cheerleading, Field Hockey, Girls Lacrosse, Soccer, Swim Lessons, Track & Field, Volleyball.
The camps typically run Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM at local parks and facilities within the town. Most of our sports camps run for 2 weeks and our swim lesson program runs for 6 weeks.
As a sports camp counselor or a swim instructor, you should have varsity experience in the sport. You will teach skills and facilitate play with campers ages 8 - 14 years old. To apply, you must be 16 years old by April 1 of this year.
The pay is $16 per hour for our sports camps.
