Lawn Care Foreman

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced lawn care foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of lawn care practices and procedures, as well as the ability to supervise and manage another employee or other employees. Hands-on experience is a must as this is a small business that will require this position to handle most of the work until the business sustains growth enough to employ more to the team, with constant assistance and supervision from the owner. Maintain our standards of excellence consistently with our expectations and after a few weeks do so without supervision or reminders. We put our employees before our customers and value the hard work you put in, so if any customer has complaints or issues direct them straight to us to handle. 50-60 hours a week expected.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the lawn care crew
• Report daily activities and any issues that arise
• Schedule and assign work orders
• Train and mentor new employees
• Ensure that all work is completed to a high standard
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment
• Perform maintenance of equipment as required daily
• Be open to kind candor and willing to develop from input
• Stay up-to-date on the latest lawn care trends and technologies
• Perform lawn care services, including mowing, trimming, edging, mulching, weed control, and more
• Work with customers to ensure that their experience is positive and the work is top-notch
• Communicate effectively with the other staff and management.
• Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times.

Required Skills:

• 2 years of experience in lawn care management
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to drive trucks safely and defensively
• Ability load out and back trailers in tight spaces
• Ability to communicate effectively with others
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow instructions and follow safety guidelines at all times
• Professional appearance and attitude at all times
• Reliable transportation to and from work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 60 per week
