Direct and coordinate activities of production line team members (Equipment Operators and Forklift Operators) for one to two packaging lines.
Position Responsibilities
Position responsibilities may include and are not limited to the following :
- Lead production team in safety compliance by maintaining a safe working environment and following safety standards.
- Operate packaging line in compliance with housekeeping standards and recycling efforts.
- Follow the Companies ISO processes and procedures.
- Complete required documentation accurately and completely.
- Develop and maintain cross trained team members.
- Conduct employee training in equipment operation, safety, processes, and procedures in one-on-one and group settings.
- Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
- Participate in equipment setups and change overs.
- Operate all production equipment on assigned packaging line - including forklifts.
- Evaluate daily performance. When deficiencies exist, develop, and implement action plan or measures to recover.
- Attend and participate in Departmental and general meetings.
- Confer with supervisors to coordinate resources, operations, and activities within or between departments.
- Measure and track performance. Develop action plans and strategies for obtaining goals.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
