Description
As a Tree Applicator at Smitty's Tree Service Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and vitality of our clients' trees. This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $17.00 to $18.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Treating trees with chemicals to improve their health
- Working on a tree crew hauling branches and logs
- Following safety protocols and procedures at all times
- Communicating effectively with team members and clients
- Maintaining equipment and tools in good working condition
Requirements
- A valid Illinois operators license for use of pesticides is required
- Previous experience in tree care or related field preferred
- Knowledge of tree species, diseases, and treatment methods preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and safety
- Good physical stamina and strength
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Other Information
- The job is Monday-Friday with a 7:00 AM start time
- During the Winter employees typically work 37-40 hours a week
- During the Summer employees typically work 40-45 hours a week
- Smitty's Tree Service has been in business over 65 years and is family owned
