Description
The yard manager position generally consists loading mulch with a loader and processing mulch with a grinder. Tree service experience is preferred, but not required. Other responsibilities may include:
Job Duties
- Operating a firewood processor
- Operating a mulch grinder
- Loading mulch and firewood for customers
- Organizing & maintaining the yard
- Washing trucks and maintaining equipment
- Miscellaneous tasks around the shop building
- Hauling branches and logs on the tree crew
- Picking up chips and putting down dirt from stump grindings
- Mulch & firewood deliveries
- Installing mulch
- Use of safety equipment and following safety procedures
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50-100 pounds
- Class A, B or C license preferred, but not required
- Tree service experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work in all weather conditions all year round
- Positive attitude and good work ethic
