Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils.
- Engage with customers, providing excellent service while taking drink orders and offering recommendations.
- Monitor customer behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with local laws.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring proper sales reporting.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and placing orders as needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food items when applicable.
- Uphold food safety standards and practices throughout the bar area.
Skills
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders during peak hours.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices within the hospitality industry.
- Experience in catering or event bartending is a plus.
- Familiarity with retail math for accurate cash handling and sales reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Proficient in food handling techniques to ensure safe preparation of garnishes or snacks served with drinks.
