Summary of Position
Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all our guests.
Front of house team members are responsible for light food preparation, order fulfillment, and dining room maintenance. At Smokemade Meats Eats team members should be open to learning a number of tasks to better help the team.
All team members will receive a percentage of customer tips.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests.
- Take food and beverage orders from guests; enter orders in our point-of-sale system with
100% accuracy.
- Accept payment, process credit card charges or make change with 100% accuracy.
- Assist kitchen staff with light food preparation.
- Serve guests completed meals as purchased.
- Maintain a clean dining room, restrooms, and all service areas.
- Know all ingredients, cooking preparations and portion sizes for all items on current menus.
- Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services.
- Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
- Monitor and observe guests' dining experience. Ensure guests are satisfied with the food and service. Respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
- Complete any other tasks or directives issued by your Manager or Superiors in a polite, timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications, Skills and Requirements
- No previous restaurant experience required.
- Possess basic math skills, have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Be able to safely lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Be able to reach, bend, and stoop.
