What are the responsibilities and job description for the Boat Loader Helper position at Smoker Craft Inc?
Smoker Craft, Inc currently has an opening for a Boat Loader! This position works from our plant in New Paris, IN.
Boat Loader's starting pay is $20.09/hr. and with positive reviews can be increased to $22.09/hr after 60 days.
After the first week of work, employees are eligible for an Attendance Bonus averaging an additional $100/week!
Shift Schedule is 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday-Friday.
Responsibilities include:
- Building trailers to specifications - trailer comes in with steel pieces to be used to set up a new load
- Assisting loading boats onto trailer and strapping them down
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment - sweeping area, making sure any steel moved out of the way before next trailer comes in
- Someone who can contribute to a team working environment to accomplish one common goal.
- Willing to work overtime and possibly multiple or different tasks daily as needed.
Required skills and experience:
- Continuous lifting of 50 lbs. throughout a shift.
- Using a ladder as needed
- Continuously standing/walking throughout a shift.
- Ability to work overtime during the week and Saturdays.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shift
-Day shift 6 am - 2:30 pm
- Monday to Friday (Fridays may be a half day or full day depending on the loading schedule.)
Work Setting:
- Warehouse Loading Bay
- Indoors, however, dock doors open/close throughout the day.
