Landscape Architect
Smoketree Landscape Services is a highly regarded design-build landscape contracting firm in Covington, Louisiana that specializes in the custom design, installation, and maintenance of high-end residential and commercial properties. We are currently seeking a highly motivated, creative, and well-versed landscape architect to join our organization. The ideal candidate will have the ability to oversee the entire design process from concept to completion and thrive in a team of other landscape professionals.
Job Duties:
- Project site inventory and creation of base plans
- Conceptual drawings for client presentations
- Finalize design with the client that they are truly thrilled about
- Produce landscape & hardscape plans for construction including construction details
- Client relations throughout the entire design, sales, and construction phases
- Communicate with the entire team including Administration, Field, Operations as well as General Manager and V.P. for sales pipeline
- Work with our installation department through the implementation of the project in all phases
Skills Needed:
- Proficient in free hand design and AutoCAD with the ability to learn Land F/X
- Experience and knowledge in construction, including elevations and hardscape
- Thorough knowledge of zone 8 & 9 plant material
- Excel at interpersonal communication
Background Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 3-5 yrs. experience in residential and commercial landscape design with a proven track record of success
