Responsibilities

- Process customer transactions accurately using the cash register and POS system.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain an organized and clean checkout area to enhance the shopping experience.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting inventory counts as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and provide support during busy periods.
- Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and sales techniques.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
- Experience in retail sales is preferred, along with knowledge of retail math for accurate transaction processing.
- Proficiency in cash handling and familiarity with cash register operations.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.
