Team Member/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service while managing transactions and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This position requires a strong attention to detail, a passion for food safety, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
• Operate the Aloha POS system to process transactions accurately.
• Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are met while handling food items.
• Maintain cleanliness in the cashier area, including sanitizing surfaces regularly.
• Assist with bussing tables and keeping the dining area tidy.
• Answer customer inquiries and provide information about menu items.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions efficiently while ensuring accuracy in math calculations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service or as a cashier is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary standards is beneficial.
• Strong math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor towards customers and team members.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks as needed.
