SUMMARY
We pride ourselves on the culinary experience created in our kitchen and are looking for a passionate cook to help our business. The ideal candidate for this position enjoys working in a busy restaurant environment, takes direction while multi-tasking effectively, and possesses a positive attitude in achieving team success.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
- Collaborate with the executive chef/senior cooks to prepare meals during dining hours and/or as needed for catering
- Assist to ensure that food inventories are accurate and inform management when low
- Ensure that food is properly stored at appropriate temperatures
- Rotate stock items per established procedures
- Assist with restocking kitchen for next shift/day
- Ensure food prep areas and kitchen are clean and sanitized throughout the day (especially at closing)
- May be required to assist in other areas (as directed by management)
- Work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to read and follow standardized recipes
- Knowledge of proper food handling procedures (ServSafe® and/or other food handlers license is a plus)
