What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard position at Smoky Mountain Gymnastics?
Employment opportunity:
Lifeguard: 15 - 25 hours weekly
Monday - Friday: Lifeguarding for private Summer Camp
Friday afternoons - night open to the public
Saturdays: Lifeguarding for private events and parties
Pay depends on experience
Pool opens: June 2nd - closes depending on Weather end of August early Sept.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of the water and swimming.
- Lifeguarding certificate or willing to be certified as a lifeguard. SMG will pay for and sign you up for any training needed.
- Opening and closing pool area.
- Maintaining the pool: checking and reporting the quality of the water in each of our pools. Daily maintenance checking filters etc. Keeping the pool area clean.
- Be on time.
- Will need a lifeguard bathing suit. If you do not have we will provide you with an official lifeguarding suit. Several styles to choose from.
