Community Educator/ Home Health & Hospice Outside Sales

Seeking a Clinical Educator for a position with Smoky Mountain Home Health and Hospice in the Kingsport, TN area. Smoky Mountain is a locally owned home health and hospice company with 7 offices providing care to patients across East Tennessee.

Qualifications:

• Familiarity or training in the medical field
• Successful outside sales experience; medical sales preferred
• Good communication skills with individuals and groups
• Self-motivated, organized and efficient work habits

Job duties include:

• Increase the number of qualified patient referrals to the assigned agency, in accordance with agency admission and billing guidelines
• Meet the patient admission and sales goals that are established by the office supervisor and the President
• Follow the direction of the office supervisor and the sales and marketing plan as it is defined
• Sell and market the agency's services to the community served by the office
• Keep abreast of the area's medical community and possible sources of patient referrals
• Maintain good communication and relations with area physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, community senior centers, social service organizations, churches, civic groups and their staff
• Maintain a positive and open relationship with the office supervisor, marketing coordinator and other agency employees
• Maintain a good understanding of the services and products offered by the agency as well as the process and requirements for admission, continuing service and discharge of patients
• Prepare time and sales reports as requested by the agency or office supervisor and assure all such reports are timely, accurate and complete.
