Position: Shift Lead (Assistant to Showroom Floor Manager)
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as a Shift Lead. This position is ideal for candidates with an interest in history and geology, who enjoy engaging with customers and working in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Open and close the store according to established procedures
- Stock merchandise and maintain the cleanliness of display cases as needed
- Process customer returns efficiently and accurately
- Operate the POS system and assist on the sales floor as required
- Aid in training current and new employees
- Oversee the showroom floor in the absence of the Showroom Floor Manager
- Ensure all employees adhere to scheduled break times
- Maintain a well-organized and customer-friendly showroom environment
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey tasks and expectations
- Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in time management and capable of delegating tasks effectively
- Retail experience is required, with shift lead or management experience preferred
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to maintain fairness and hold all team members, including oneself, to the same high standard
- Capable of resolving complex customer and team issues independently
- Ability to take direction from senior management
