Our giant skillet filled with unlimited bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, breakfast potatoes, and character waffles, will ensure no one leaves Granny Cluckets hungry. (A plant-based skillet option is available to accommodate most dietary needs). Coffee, orange juice, and milk is included for a great value!
A Breakfast Host’s warm welcome and inviting personality creates memorable moments for our guests. They will provide exceptional service, while focusing on attention-to-detail in regard to safety and cleanliness, within a unique dining experience. A team member who supports and participates in SMR Legendary Service and Promise for guest satisfaction and exceptional guest interactions.
Primary Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Business:
The Breakfast Host at Granny Cluckets will work 8 hours per shift, 5 or 6 days each week, based on occupancy and staffing demand. Holidays and weekends are affected by peak demand which means all team members must work together during those days to keep Food & Beverage operations running efficiently.
- The Breakfast Host at Granny Cluckets responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Welcome guests with a friendly smile, answer questions and assist with the menu.
- Demonstrate an organized method to manage wait times. When necessary, communicate clearly and inform guests who are waiting and may experience longer than expected wait times.
- Ensure the dining area, tables, chairs and floors are monitored and cleanliness actions are taken.
- Food, paper, liquids or other items on the floor should be removed immediately.
- Supervisor is informed of dining area equipment, fixtures and atmosphere décor which may need a work order and/or safety-critical.
- Adhere to ServSafe training guidelines including, but not limited to; handwashing, food storage, cooking temperatures, hot and cold holding parameters, and equipment, infrastructure and eater requirements.
- Instruct guests on how to operate cashless payment systems.
- Host a safe and interactive environment that all children and families can enjoy.
- Multitask alongside fellow team members.
- Compliance with TOSHA certifications, biohazards procedures and responsibilities for safety in handling.
- Knowledge and ability to comply with all company operating policies and procedures.
- Perform other incidental and related duties as required and/or assigned.
- Management reserves the right to change, remove or add to these duties as necessary.

- Collaborate with other team members and my supervisor to communicate issues and coordinate tasks to ensure dining/food areas operate cohesively and efficiently.

Skills / Knowledge:

Education / Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas/industries is preferred which includes: Hospitality, Restaurant, and Quick Service/Fast Food.
- Certification for ‘ServSafe Food Handler Program’ is required within 30 days from work start date (Basic Food Safety, Personal Hygiene, Cross-Contamination and Allergens, Time & Temperature, & Cleaning and Sanitation).

Essential Functions:
Specific vision abilities required for this job include peripheral, distance, close, and depth perception and the ability to adjust vision focus. The employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and sit, use hands to finger, touch, handle, and feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb and descend numerous flights of stairs consistently. The employee is required to use hand, arm, and leg to reach, bend, push, pull, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds daily on their own. Ability to tolerate various temperatures while working outdoors. This position requires continuous ability to remember information.
