The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing chemical manufacturing and packaging operations to ensure efficient and safe production. This role involves executing production schedules, optimizing workflows, and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity. The Supervisor will oversee employee performance, conduct quality control (QC) testing, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. Core Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 12:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by identifying and addressing safety hazards. Enforce company policies, rules, and regulations to ensure operational compliance.
- Production Management: Coordinate with the Operations Manager, Production Planner, and other departments to meet production goals and fulfill customer orders efficiently. Streamline processes to eliminate bottlenecks and improve workflow.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to increase productivity and implement enhancements to manufacturing and packaging operations. Develop and manage procedures that positively impact production areas.
- Quality Control: Conduct batch QC tests using various instruments and procedures to ensure product quality. Record and manage QC data and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Employee Supervision: Mentor, coach, and supervise employees to foster a professional, productive work environment. Conduct performance reviews, manage disciplinary actions, and implement compensation adjustments.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with employees, peers, and management. Ensure relevant information is shared accurately and promptly.
