Technician-Color I

Special Requirements / Qualification Profile:   

· Paint master, completed professional training in the area of painting/paint technology or specialist with the corresponding professional experience 

· 1 years relevant manufacturing experience or Lean Manufacturing certificate preferred 

· Candidates should possess basic craftsmanship and technical understanding 

· Experience in automotive paint environment preferred 

· Requires the ability to discriminate between colors and judge brightness and shade. 

· Requires manual dexterity, strength, endurance, flexibility and the ability to see details  

· Good knowledge in handling of measuring and test equipment (colorimeter, Wave Scan, cross cutting,microtome, etc.) good knowledge in handling of QM systems and Q tools 

· Knowledge in the area of statistics and analysis 

· Very good EDP knowledge (MS-Office applications) 

· General knowledge of paint processes, paints and painted surfaces   

Main Tasks: 

· Evaluation of the series-accompanying shade measurement (X-Rite, BASF Colorcare according to test schedule, incl. documentation of the production monitoring) 

· Evaluation of the series-accompanying quality measurements (Wave Scan, glossiness measurements, cross cutting) 

· Management and evaluation of production data, regulation cards and statistics for documentation of the quality data 

· Maintenance and handling of the test devices used 

· Pointing out the weaknesses in the production process (colorimetry, layer thickness, etc.) and initiation of removal measures by immediate information to the defined offices  

· Support of batch reviews 

· Introduction of the subordinated functions in coordination with the supervisor (deployment planning according to task set) 

· Special tasks if production problems occur  

· Complaint processing 

Special Responsibilities:

· Contributing to continuous improvement of quality monitoring in coordination with supervisors 

· Compliance with the specified quality directives and customer requirements 

· Support and contribution in troubleshooting in the production sequence to avoid errors  

· Consistent shade management 

· Contribution of the test planning
