What are the responsibilities and job description for the Armed Security - FEMA - Rapid City, SD position at SMP Security Services?
Armed Security for FEMA contract
- Pay $30 for non-LEO - $45 for verifiable LEO experience and able to provide own equipment, (vest, firearm, etc.)
- Hours - 24/7 coverage, shifts are 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am
- Paid weekly
What a typical shift looks like:
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with the client's employees and guests
- De-escalating confrontations
- Deter criminal activity and misconduct
- Compose written and verbal reports of observed security and safety concerns
- Perform duties as specified in client post orders and within company protocols
- Conduct foot patrols of the property (interior and exterior)
Qualifications include:
- Prior Law Enforcement/Corrections training preferred
- At least 2 years experience in security or related field
- Ability to work independently
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass a thorough background check
- Detail oriented with good communication skills
