Overview
The Software Analyst ensures compliance with United States Air Force (USAF) regulation through proper testing and evaluation of currently unapproved software for the use within the AFRL Research & Development (R&D) network. The Software Analyst produces data that enables the AFRL / RQ-West Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to properly determine risk, assess vulnerabilities, and to submit recommendation for command level approval. In the Risk Management Framework (RMF) of the software approval process, the Software Analyst arranges the software testing environment, establishes testing environment baselines, and produces raw test results for the AFRL / RQ-West ISSM analysis.
