Summary
The Non CDL Truck Driver will drive tractor truck and trailer from shop to shop onsite, transporting loads between 20,000lbs to 200,000lbs to support SMS group customer business.

The right candidate will
- Have the ability to drive tractor truck and trailer, including backing in and out of overhead doors
- Conduct safety and operational checks of truck and trailer prior to first movement
- Be able to lift up to 50lbs in order to chain and tarp load
- Be capable of learning overhead crane in order to load and unload truck
- Be able to work a 4 on 4 off, day and night rotation
- Be willing to cross-train on other jobs when not moving loads
What you will do
- Listening for radio calls for mill roll pick-up
- Back into overhead doors to be loaded and unloaded
- Chain and tarp all loads before movement
- Assist crane operator in the loading and unloading of mill rolls
- Occasionally load trailer using forklift
- Maintain all required documents of loads
What you will need
- A valid driver's license
- Excellent driving record
- Have a H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- A safety minded worker who is drug free, dependable, and able to maintain an excellent attendance record
