We are seeking a Controls and Automation Apprentice Technician to join our team!
Benefits :Compensation : 18 - $22 hourly DOE
Responsibilities :
- Set up and adjust control systems, such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), and other automation machinery.
- Regularly inspect and perform preventive maintenance on control systems and automation equipment to guarantee peak performance.
- Troubleshoot and rectify technical problems and malfunctions in control systems and automation equipment.
- Work together with engineers and colleagues to develop and execute enhancements and changes to control systems.
- Record all maintenance and repair tasks, as well as any adjustments made to equipment and updates to software.
- Keep informed about the most recent developments in control systems and automation technology in order to offer suggestions for enhancement.
- Acquire skills in panel assembly and fault diagnosis.
- Learn the installation, upkeep, and resolution of issues with control systems and automation machinery.
- Previous experience in controls and automation or the electrical field is preferred.
- A high school diploma or its equivalent is required.
- An associate degree in electrical or automation technology is highly desirable, but not required.
- Strong understanding of electrical and electronic components, circuits, and systems.
- Good understanding of the interpretation of technical diagrams, blueprints, and instructional guides.
- Must be willing to travel throughout the week when needed at job sites.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and critical-thinking skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Must be able to work individually or as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong willingness to learn and retain the trade.
- Must be able to adapt to the constant changes and developments of control systems and automation technology.
