Summary Position Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as the Operations Manager. The responsibilities of the Operations Manager include training and supervising employees, reducing operational costs, monitoring their department's compliance, and keeping up-to-date with administrative duties.
To be successful as an Operations Manager, you should be result-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Ultimately, a top-notch Operations Manager has excellent leadership, project management, trouble-shooting, and administrative management skills. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to manage teams, drive process improvements, and contribute to business development initiatives.
Operations Manager Responsibilities:
- Developing effective strategies to enhance the organization's financial health.
- Recruiting quality employees to provide production and quality.
- Motivating and supervising employees.
- Evaluating the performance of your assigned employees, providing regular feedback, and addressing shortcomings.
- Managing training and compliance of team members
- Supporting logistics and pipelines along with operational capacity plans
- Designing and implementing departmental policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
- Evaluating and reporting on department metrics to senior management.
- Developing strategies to improve department metrics and performance.
- Improving the work environment of your departments and the organization as a whole.
- Overseeing inventory needs and undertaking office management and administration
- Coordinating and scheduling maintenance activities to support production equipment and schedules
Operations Manager Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A bachelor's or associate's degree in engineering or a technical field is preferred.
- Proven work experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience in implementing process improvement.
- Good working knowledge of operational procedures and policies.
- Strong project management, administrative, and organizational skills.
- Excellent leadership and decision-making skills.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills.
