We are currently looking for Pemserter Operators to join our team on 2nd Shift. Standard shift hours are 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Mon-Thur (some overtime on Friday and before/after standard hours).
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities
Operates pemserter machine, installing various types of hardware into metal parts.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow and comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Using traveler and blueprint determines locations on part which require hardware to be installed, including type of hardware needed.
- Receives hardware needed for the job from Materials Attendant.
- Installs hardware on first piece and takes it to inspection or certified operator for a 1st piece approval.
- After first piece approval, change hardware if necessary and run job.
- Fills out all required production paperwork and records.
- Maintains work area in clean and safe condition.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Requires 3 months to 1-year industrial experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to read basic blueprints and perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Advanced knowledge and use of basic quality inspection equipment including calipers, protractors, and micrometers. Ability to follow instructions, read, and write.
Working Conditions
- Constant exposure to one or more elements typically found in a manufacturing setting such as noise, dust, heat, fumes or dirt, which may not be desirable. Exposure to noise requires the use of hearing protection.
Supervision
- None
Decision-Making / Confidentiality
- Requires continuous mental / visual application. Little or no independent judgment and decision making with decisions made within Company and procedures.
- Limited exposure to confidential data such as product design information and work center rates.
