Working closely with other members of the organization and reporting to the Director of 

Development and Marketing: the position is responsible for the overall success of the grants and 

annual giving programs. The manager sources grants, manages the grant calendar, and is a part 

of the grant writing team. The manager develops and administers all aspects of the annual 

giving fundraising, including direct mail, donor database, gift processing and accounting, special 

events, donor recognition and stewardship, and corporate support. Works with the membership and 

development coordinator and the director to identify, cultivate, and solicit annual gifts and 

community grants. 


Duties/Responsibilities:

• Formulates, implements, and manages annual giving and corporate donor programs, 

including policies, goals, budget, metrics and reporting, industry best practices, and 

collaborating across the organization to ensure strong communications and connections 

with donors and programs. 

• Responsible for the collection of all donor and prospect information in the database,

including supervision of all gifts to ensure accuracy. Works closely with Database 

Manager, including oversight and outcomes. 

• Manages the membership program, determines membership strategy, goals and targets, 

metrics and reporting, industry best practices and regular assessment of the program. 

Works closely with the executive team to propose modifications to the program and 

present regular updates.

• Manages membership operations with the front desk, trains staff, communicates regularly 

with the staff, and contributes to assessing their performance. 

• Prepares weekly, monthly, and annual reports on all campaign activity and may present 

reports to the executive team and Board of Directors. 

• Coordinates and assists with all special events for annual giving with the Events Manager

and other MOSAC staff to ensure success. 

• Identifies grant opportunities on the local, state, and federal levels, assesses their 

potential for MOSAC, and works closely with the director of development and marketing 

and the executive director to determine grants strategy. 

• Manages a grants library and calendar for writing grants and for all reporting 

requirements.

• Manages grants in customer relation management software (CRM Altru)

• Other duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to 

effectively communicate in a variety of settings with diverse stakeholders, and maintain 

confidentiality 

• Exceptional written communication skills to prepare, proofread, and edit a variety of 

correspondence and reports for correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling with excellent 

attention to detail

• Strong attention to detail with excellent project management skills and a proven ability to 

meet deadlines

• Demonstrated experience in creating and executing successful annual giving programs

• Experience with membership-based programs in a non-profit organization preferred

• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, CRM, email marketing (Constant Contact, 

MailChimp or similar), social media and WordPress or other web content management 

tools

• Skilled at establishing and cultivating strong relationships with peers, across different 

levels of the organization, as well as externally

• Experience hiring, overseeing, and mentoring administrative-level staff. 

• Self-directed with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment 


Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Communications, Non-profit management, or related field

• Minimum two years of relevant experience


Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
