Shifts/Hours Available:
We currently have 4 shifts per week available. These shifts tend to be about 5 hours long, so this position is for 15-20 hours per week. Shifts are available mostly in the evenings, but we anticipate a limited number of hours in the morning becoming available as well. Applicants who are generally available and looking for about 20 hours per week will be prioritized.

Smug's Pizza McKinleyville is one of our three locally owned take-out pizza joints in Humboldt County. We've been employing small teams of reliable food service professionals to work at our locations for over 25 years. From making dough to dish washing and customer service, our reliable Crew Members contribute to every step of making our pizza and the Smug's experience the best that it can be. Responsibilities:
- Performing many different tasks over the course of a shift, including money handling, customer service, food handling and preparation, and various cleaning tasks, including dish washing
- Meeting store operating policies and standards
- Occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs

Compensation:
Pay typically begins at the beginning of the pay scale (plus tips). Pay increases when accepting additional responsibility and as employees stay on with the business long term. Employees are provided with a free meal per shift and an employee discount. Opportunities for advancement may be available to those who are interested in working with the business in the long term and perform well in this entry-level position.
What We Are Looking For:
- Prior work experience (though welcome!) is not necessary
- Applicants should either have a valid Food Handler's Certification or be prepared to get one within 30 days of beginning work
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
