We are seeking a skilled and experienced Master Electrician to join our team at Smugglers’ Notch Resort. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing electrical systems throughout the resort, including high and low voltage systems, fire alarm systems, electrical components for motors and controls in the wastewater treatment plant, domestic water system, aquatics facilities, ski lifts, snowmaking system, residential buildings, and commercial facilities. Experience with control systems, VFDs, and PLCs is required. Your expertise will ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our electrical infrastructure.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Master Electrician to join our team at Smugglers’ Notch Resort. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing electrical systems throughout the resort, including high and low voltage systems, fire alarm systems, electrical components for motors and controls in the wastewater treatment plant, domestic water system, aquatics facilities, ski lifts, snowmaking system, residential buildings, and commercial facilities. Experience with control systems, VFDs, and PLCs is required. Your expertise will ensure the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- High/Low Voltage Systems: Install, maintain, and repair high and low voltage electrical services, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and codes.
- PLC Programming: Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC programs for various control systems, ensuring seamless operation of resort facilities.
- Must be able to work on AC & DC drives, both digital and analog.
- Motors and Pumps: Maintain and repair electrical components of motors and pumps used in wastewater treatment and pool facilities, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to prevent downtime and ensure reliability.
- Ability to utilize infrared thermography/electrical infrared inspection. Must be able to use a Megger and have working knowledge of oscilloscopes.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints. Familiar with ohms law, resistance and milliamps.
- Assist in installing and maintaining electrical systems including but not limited to lighting, electrical outlets, and circuit breakers
- Valid Master Electrician license.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical systems, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and control systems.
- Experience with fire alarm systems and high voltage installations.
- Knowledge of motors, pumps, and wastewater treatment processes is a plus.
- Commitment to safety and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Salary : $55,000 - $84,000
