What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prod-Mill Extra Trainee position at Smurfit Kappa North America?
The primary function of the Mill Extra Trainee is to assist with housekeeping in the mill.
Primary Duties
- Housekeeping of the mill production floor and basement
- Wash up of floor, walls and equipment with water hoses and high pressure washers as needed
- Moving chemicals and other equipment to needed areas around plant with forklift or other machinery
- Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SKNA employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.

- Must be at least 23 years of age, with a high school diploma or GED
- Some warehouse and production experience is required
- Carry up to 50 lbs.

- Carry items 5-10 a day
- Lifting, pulling, carrying, cleaning
