Job Summary
Working under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, this position will develop, document and establish the preventive maintenance of all facility and mechanical systems. The Preventive Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely collection of equipment data and ensures data is recorded in SAP in a well-organized manner so it can be retrieved and utilized to facilitate maintenance of all systems. This position reviews historical data and manufacturer's operation manuals to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance.
Primary Duties
Assist the Maintenance Manager and Mechanical Team Lead with ensuring that all facilities and equipment are structurally sound, mechanically operational, and safe
Assess potential issues and technical challenges and develop resolutions accordingly
Perform effective diagnosis to determine root cause failure analysis and have chronic problems addressed
Participate in daily planning meetings to establish asset availability, work order priorities, as well as review recommended planned maintenance actions for the following week
Optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of preventive maintenance, coordinating with others as needed to achieve desired outcomes, and provide reliable and authoritative information, reports, and recommendations to administer and monitor the preventive maintenance program
Assist with the development of a competent and efficient work staff by training personnel in the proper use of test equipment, hand and power tools, shop safety, and appropriate work methods and determination of preventive maintenance tasks
Develop tasks and document instructions and procedures for the preventive maintenance of all facility and mechanical systems
Perform routine checks and regular preventive maintenance on equipment to mitigate unplanned and unexpected failures
Assist the Maintenance Dept. with ensuring that contracted mechanical services meet specified results and are appropriately documented in SAP
Support, comply, and ensure complicity with Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures
Contribute to the overall success of the Maintenance Department by performing other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned
Safety Responsibilities
Follow all safety policies, and safe work practices
Comply with all safety signs and PPE requirements
Listen and learn from any training. Be an active participant in learning a job skill or safety issue
Ask for assistance if the training or instruction is not clear or you don't feel comfortable in performing the task correctly and safely
Report unsafe acts and near misses immediately
Address problems with manager ASAP. But always try to give solutions to every problem (you may understand more than the manager about the problem and how to fix it)
Re-address issues with the supervisor on unresolved topics discussed in the past. (the supervisor may have forgotten about those topics)
Be an active member in the safety of the workplace. Participate in Safety Committee Meetings, Safety Meetings, and when trained on a safety issue.
Participate in hazard identification process.
Requirements
Job Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Must pass Bennett Mechanical Aptitude Assessment within Maintenance range
Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
Working knowledge of parts inventory environment
Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel) required and SAP preferred
Must have ability to work in a team environment and follow established processes
Must have knowledge of all safety rules and maintain a safe work environment
Salary : $48,000 - $65,000
