The Opportunity
The Longview Mill Electrical Maintenance Planner is responsible for providing superior maintenance and administrative planning services to internal and external customers, especially for our maintenance technical personnel assigned to the operational areas in the mill. This person is responsible for critical planning, scheduling, coordinating, and reporting of repair activities to ensure operational effectiveness.
What you need:
Associate degree
2 years functioning in an electrical manufacturing maintenance environment
Knowledge of Pulping & Paper Making Processes and Equipment preferred; knowledge of electrical maintenance challenges in a manufacturing environment
Demonstrated successful track record of effective problem-solving
Drives for continuous improvement while managing expectations and results
Possess advance computer skills working with Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Word
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to maintain complex records and to assemble and organize data
Possess strong mechanical acumen
Possess strong collaboration skills with stakeholders across functions
Ability to set priorities, achieve deadlines, and manage multiple tasks at the same time
Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to deliver messages to customers and Smurfit Westrock employees
How you will impact WestRock
Maintain backlog of work orders and move work orders to the ready-to-schedule phase, and review technician feedback upon work completion
Track the progress of work order flow through the work order system by performing plant and/or maintenance department day‐to‐day reviews
Plan all maintenance work activities associated with maintenance work orders and record technician troubleshooting feedback in SAP
Conduct initial screening of incoming work orders, identify scope of the work orders, and analyze required level of planning
Coordinate outage planning activities such as scope identification and control, scheduling, risk assessments, execution, and continuous improvement initiatives
Partner with Validators to ensure that plans and schedules are aligned based on the available equipment to support the mill
Incorporate safety requirements for all work orders and jobs to support and drive safe work behaviors
Oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of work orders and resolve any work order issues
Maintain real-time equipment bill of materials in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), including parts that have changed and update new equipment data
Comply with ISO, Safety, Environmental and other technical codes, and regulations
Provide leadership and coaching in safety, training, and work allocation to uphold the standards of maximum safety for all maintenance technicians
Compensation Offered
Pay (or pay range): $74,625 – $124,375 DOE (Junior, Intermediate, Senior levels)
Bonus/Commission Eligible: Yearly Short-Term Incentive Program (STIP) Bonus based off metrics
